Our guaranteed seasoned softwood firewood comes from local sustainable managed woodlands and has a maximum moisture content of 24%. They are a mix of softwoods, mainly Spruce and Pine. Once cut into firewood, they have then been air-dried and only when we have tested each load by measuring the moisture content, do we class the firewood as fully seasoned with a guaranteed maximum average moisture content of 24%.
Our softwood firewood is perfect for woodburners because it is thoroughly seasoned, any sap and resin has dried into a high octane fuel!, they burn easier and hotter than hardwood firewood. Softwood firewood is therefore ideal for getting the fire blazing.
